Clearing your Ask AI history

Your Ask AI panel keeps a history of every skill run and chat you start. Over time your history fills with runs you’ve already moved past. Clearing your history removes those entries from your panel without deleting the underlying record, so administrators can still review them.

Clear your history

1. Open the Ask AI panel and go to the history view.
2. Select Clear history.
3. Choose how much to clear:
   • Everything removes every eligible run and chat.
   • Older than a week keeps the last seven days and clears the rest.
   • Older than a month keeps the last thirty days and clears the rest.
4. Select Clear history to confirm.

Runs that are still working, such as one generating a response or applying a change, are never cleared, so nothing in progress is interrupted.

Undo a clear

Right after a personal clear, an Undo option appears for a few seconds. Select it to restore everything you just cleared. Once the countdown ends, the entries are gone from your panel, though they remain available to administrators.

Clearing for the whole organization

If you are an organization administrator, the confirm dialog also offers Clear for the entire organization. This clears matching runs for every member, which is useful for tidying up shared history. An organization-wide clear does not offer Undo, because it affects other people’s panels. The runs are still retained and remain visible to administrators.

What clearing does not do

Clearing never deletes the record. Cleared runs stay available to organization administrators for auditing. Clearing only changes what appears in your own panel.
